How a consultation works
- Pick the state your matter concerns. An advocate may only advise where they are enrolled, so you can only book someone enrolled there.
- Choose a time, or ask for one now. Scheduled consultations run 30, 60 or 90 minutes. If it cannot wait, advocates who are on call join within five minutes.
- Talk it through by video. Upload anything relevant beforehand, an FIR, a notice, an agreement, so the advocate has read it before you start.
- Get it in writing. The advocate records what was discussed and what they advised, and you keep it.
